Water it in
If no rain is expected within a day or two of an application, a normal watering helps move the fertilizer into the soil.
Four timed feedings for a thick, deep-green lawn that crowds out weeds on its own.
Grass uses nutrients every time it grows and gets cut. Fertilizer replaces them, but timing matters as much as the product itself. Feed a cool-season lawn at the wrong time and you get weak, fast top growth, disease, or fertilizer that washes into storm drains.
Your plan includes four applications, each timed to what the lawn needs in that part of the year and applied within New Jersey’s fertilizer law.
Every step, so you know what you’re getting and why it’s done that way.
Wakes the lawn up gently after winter and supports root growth. This is where pre-emergent crabgrass control usually goes down too.
Builds density before the stress of summer.
A lighter, slow-release feeding that keeps color without pushing growth in the heat.
The most important feeding of the year. Roots store energy for winter and the lawn greens up faster in spring.
Calibrated spreaders, kept off walks and driveways (anything that lands there is blown back onto the lawn) and away from storm drains.
One trained applicator with a calibrated spreader. 10 to 20 minutes per lawn, done during your regular visits.
Simple things you can do between visits, including how and when to water.

Keep them off the lawn until the product is watered in or dry, usually a few hours.
Avoid adding your own fertilizer between our applications. Too much nitrogen causes fast, weak growth and disease.
During a serious drought a dormant lawn shouldn’t be pushed with fertilizer; we adjust timing to the weather.
Seasonal Fertilization is part of every Full Season Plan, along with the other services your lawn needs from March to December, for one set season price.
See the Full Season PlanFor cool-season lawns, early fall is the most valuable feeding, with lighter feedings in spring and early summer. Heavy feeding in mid-summer heat does more harm than good.
NJ limits when and how lawn fertilizer can be used to protect waterways: no applications in winter (professionals may not apply from December 1 to March 1), none on frozen ground or right before heavy rain, a buffer from lakes and streams, and no phosphorus unless a soil test shows it’s needed or a lawn is being established or repaired. We follow it on every application.
Weeds move into thin, hungry lawns. A dense, well-fed lawn shades the soil so weed seeds can’t get the light they need to sprout.
Yes. All four applications are part of the Full Season Plan.
Keep kids and pets off the lawn until the product is watered in or dry, usually a few hours. We’ll let you know on application days.
