Snow Removal

Every storm, automatically. You never have to call.

Overview

What it is, and why it matters

The worst time to find a snow company is the night before a storm. Our snow agreements put your driveway, walkways and steps on the route for the whole winter. Once snowfall reaches 2 inches, we come automatically.

You pay per storm at the rate for that storm’s depth, and only when it actually snows. The agreement renews each winter so you’re always covered.

The process

Exactly how we do it

Every step, so you know what you’re getting and why it’s done that way.

  1. 01

    Before the season

Stake the edges of your driveway and walks by mid-November so the plow knows where pavement ends.

  2. 02

    Storm trigger

Service starts automatically once snow reaches 2 inches. Long storms may get a push during the storm and a cleanup after.

  3. 03

    Driveway, walks and steps

Plowed or blown and shoveled to pavement, including the end of the driveway the town plow fills in.

  4. 04

    Salt / ice melt (optional)

Applied after clearing to prevent refreezing. Billed separately per application.

  5. 05

    Billed per storm

You get an invoice after service; card customers are charged automatically with a receipt.

The labor & equipment

Truck-mounted plows and snow-blower crews working through the night on a set route. Typical residential driveway: 15 to 40 minutes.

Care tips

How to get the most out of it

Simple things you can do between visits, including how and when to water.

Stake your edges by mid-November

Reflective stakes along driveways and walks show the crew where pavement ends, protecting your lawn and plantings.

Move cars when you can

An empty driveway gets cleared completely. Cars left in place get cleared around.

Clear obstacles

Hoses, mats, planters and decorations in the service area can be damaged or buried.

Salt and new concrete

Concrete less than a year old can be damaged by rock salt. Let us know so we can use a gentler ice melt or skip it.

Pets and ice melt

Ask for a pet-friendly ice melt if dogs use your walks.

Common questions about snow removal

Per-storm or seasonal contract?

Per-storm means you only pay when it snows. Seasonal contracts charge a flat price no matter how many storms come. In a light winter, per-storm almost always costs less.

Do I have to clear my sidewalk in NJ?

Most Bergen County towns require property owners to clear sidewalks within a set number of hours after snow stops. Check your town’s ordinance. Automatic service means you’re covered even when you’re away.
