Driveway & Patio Power Washing

Dirt, algae and stains lifted for a like-new finish.

Overview

What it is, and why it matters

Shaded patios and walks in Bergen County grow algae and moss that turn surfaces dark and slippery. Professional cleaning brings back the original color and makes surfaces safer.

For pavers, cleaning is followed by fresh polymeric sand so the joints are locked again.

The process

Exactly how we do it

Every step, so you know what you’re getting and why it’s done that way.

  1. 01

    Pre-treat

Stains, algae and organic growth treated so they lift without excessive pressure.

  2. 02

    Surface-clean

A rotary surface cleaner gives an even, streak-free finish without etching the surface.

  3. 03

    Rinse

Edges and steps detailed and everything rinsed clean.

  4. 04

    Re-sand pavers

Joints refilled with polymeric sand and activated to lock pavers and resist weeds.

The labor & equipment

A 1 to 2-person crew with a commercial pressure washer and surface cleaner. Most driveways and patios take 2 to 5 hours.

Care tips

How to get the most out of it

Simple things you can do between visits, including how and when to water.

Give sand time to set

Keep heavy traffic and water off freshly re-sanded joints for about a day.

Sealing

If sealing, wait until the surface is fully dry, usually at least 24 hours.

Shade means more growth

Shaded areas grow algae faster and may need cleaning more often.

Good to know

Common questions about power washing

Why re-sand pavers after power washing?

Washing blows out some joint sand. Without refilling, pavers can shift and weeds move into the gaps.

Will power washing damage my pavers?

Not when done properly. Too much pressure with a narrow tip can etch the surface, which is why we use a surface cleaner and the right pressure.

FAQ

Working with us

How often should pavers be cleaned?
